Design and code wearable or implantable sensor technologies to improve quality of life.
Learning Program Overview
In this program, students undertake the design, development and prototyping process to create their own wearable technology or implantable sensor. Students investigate electronic circuits and batteries and explore the use of microcontroller boards with LEDs, buttons, and sensor technology. Students investigate the impact of existing wearable technologies, examine the current marketplace and opportunities for a new wearable technology for a targeted audience. Students work in teams to collaboratively design an idea and build a prototype.
This program can be offered as a 1 day or 2 day program.
