Discover what it takes to develop a smart, responsive devices that communicate on a Cloud network and react to changing environments.

 

Learning Program Overview

From watches to farms our society is becoming smarter through an internet of everyday “things”. In this program, students will explore different control boards and components that interact with sensors and motors to create their own smart devices using Arduino as the programming language. Using the latest software, students will visualise the outputs and analyse the data obtained.

 

Success Criteria

•             Appreciation for the vast array of applications where IoT data systems can improve human potential within society.

•             Clear utilisation of at least one form of IoT in group decision making throughout the group’s problem-solving process.

•             Reflection on and understanding of the Design Thinking process undertaken is evident in group’s pitch.
