Learning Program Overview

Working in groups, students explore the world of food packaging and utilise lasercutters and 3D printers to prototype their own designs. Through a guided exploration of 3D printing and lasercutting students are equipped to prototype for some demanding food packaging requirements of the future. With Design Thinking structuring their problem solving process, student groups will go from 2D designs to 3D prototypes by the end of the day.

Success Criteria

•             Produce a food packaging design that meets the criteria of the group’s user brief.

•             Demonstrate understanding of the Design Thinking model as a creative problem-solving tool.
